June newsletter & calendar

Wow! Summer is nearly upon us. Hard to believe that it's been a full year since I took the plunge into Red Yarn Productions as my full-time job. Thanks to all of your support, it's been a success and an amazing experience so far. I'm excited for the summer--many changes and big projects are afoot. I hope your family has some fun plans too!

Due to a busy summer schedule of out-of-town shows, camps, and travel, I'm going on hiatus from my weekly shows after next week. I will miss seeing so many of your families each week, but you can catch me in Portland most weekends. I will resume my regular shows in September. During June, July and August I'll be at Mississippi Pizza each 3rd Saturday from 4-5pm, and at Treehouse Boutique each 4th Saturday morning from 10-10:45am. Plus libraries, street fairs, and other events (see flyer and June schedule below).

I'm also making good progress on my album, The Deep Woods. On Wednesday, June 19, you're invited to a Community Recording Session at the lovely Village Ballroom from 9:30-11am. Bring your family to help me record group vocals, stomps, claps and crowd sounds. There will be free snacks and coffee, and participants will receive an advance mp3 single from the album. All ages are welcome, but know that this will not be a typical show. It will require some patience and quiet focus. I would love to have your and your children's voices on my record. Thanks to Woodlawn Swap'n'Play for helping organize this free event!

For schedule updates, news, and photos from my summer adventures, you can follow me on FacebookInstagram or Twitter.
